What is the Indignation?
When will the Indignation be accomplished and prosper no more?

And shall

France

prosper

for 10 years

till the indignation

of the Papacy & France

be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.

Stop point: 58:12

The lamblike horns and dragon voice of the symbol point to a striking contradiction between the professions and the practice of the nation thus represented. The "speaking" of the nation is the action of its legislative and judicial authorities. By such action it will give the lie to those liberal and peaceful principles which it has put forth as the foundation of its policy. The prediction that it will speak "as a dragon" and exercise "all the power of the first beast" plainly foretells a development of the spirit of intolerance and persecution that was manifested by the nations represented by the dragon and the leopardlike beast. And the statement that the beast with two horns "causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast" indicates that the authority of this nation is to be exercised in enforcing some observance which shall be an act of homage to the papacy. {GC 442.1} {GC 442.1}

After France had renounced the worship of the living God, "the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity," it was only a little time till she descended to degrading idolatry, by the worship of the Goddess of Reason, in the person of a profligate woman. And this in the representative assembly of the nation, and by its highest civil and legislative authorities! Says the historian: "One of the ceremonies of this insane time stands unrivaled for absurdity combined with impiety. The doors of the Convention were thrown open to a band of musicians, preceded by whom, the members of the municipal body entered in solemn procession, singing a hymn in praise of liberty, and escorting, as the object of their future worship, a veiled female, whom they termed the Goddess of Reason. Being brought within the bar, she was unveiled with great form, and placed on the right of the president, when she was generally recognized as a dancing girl of the opera.... To this person, as the fittest representative of that reason whom they worshiped, the National Convention of France rendered public homage. {GC 275.1}

This prophecy has received a most exact and striking fulfillment in the history of France. During the Revolution, in 1793, "the world for the first time heard an assembly of men, born and educated in civilization, and assuming the right to govern one of the finest of the European nations, uplift their united voice to deny the most solemn truth which man's soul receives, and renounce unanimously the belief and worship of a Deity."-Sir Walter Scott, Life of Napoleon, vol. 1, ch. 17. "France is the only nation in the world concerning which the authentic record survives, that as a nation she lifted her hand in open rebellion against the Author of the universe. Plenty of blasphemers, plenty of infidels, there have been, and still continue to be, in England, Germany, Spain, and elsewhere; but France stands apart in the world's history as the single state which, by the decree of her Legislative Assembly, pronounced that there was no God, and of which the entire population of the capital, and a vast majority elsewhere, women as well as men, danced and sang with joy in accepting the announcement."-Blackwood's Magazine, November, 1870. {GC 269.4}

And shall

the Papacy now that it's wound has been healed.

prosper till the indignation be accomplished

just before Jesus comes again

: for that that is determined shall be done.

The question here is about the phrase "shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished".
From her view this is the 1260 years of indignation that ends in 1798.
And this includes that the French Revolution also ended about that time.

This indignation she relates both to the Papacy and France.
Is this THE indignation of the Papacy?
Or is this indignation that of France who does according to his will?
I'm not sure you can have both.
Either way it marks a very short time in history for all these verses (Dan 11:36-40) to apply to the French Revolution.

The French Revolution was an influential period of social and political upheaval in France that lasted from 1789 until 1799, and was partially carried forward by Napoleon during the later expansion of the French Empire. (Wikiquote)

This to me is about the Papacy and is just another time God lets us know that this power will end.

  • Dan 11:14 - but they shall fall.
  • Dan 11:27 - but it shall not prosper: for yet the end shall be at the time appointed.
  • Dan 11:35 - even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.
  • Dan 11:36 - and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
  • I'm not sure how who you would know if this is just about the 1260 or not.
    Some might say the Time Of The End is 1798.
    But that is just the beginning of the Time Of The End.
    The Papal indignation will come back once the wound is healed.

    Daniel 11:36 I think is the Papacy after 1798 closer to the End Of Time.
    Which that would take us all the way through the end of his indignation.

    Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be. (Dan 8:19)

    And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand. (Dan 8:25).

    Broken without hand reminds you of Dan 2.

    Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces. Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth. (Dan 2:45)

    While searching this, this quote came up which would place every verse from 36 on in the future.

    "And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done." [Verses 30-36.] {Lt 103, 1904, par. 19} Scenes similar to those described in these words will take place. We see evidence that Satan is fast obtaining the control of human minds, who have not the fear of God before them. Let all read and understand the prophecies of this book, for we are now entering upon the time of trouble spoken of: {Lt 103, 1904, par. 20}

    Although maybe it is past and future as this quote came shortly before.

    The prophecy in the eleventh of Daniel has nearly reached its complete fulfilment. Much of the history that has taken place in fulfilment of this prophecy will be repeated. {13MR 394.1}

    If it is both past and future.
    Much of the indignation done from the Papacy during the 1260 years would happen again once the wound is healed.
