A good point that the video made was:
There is no need to talk about North or South while Rome controls both.
I still don't know if that would answer the He, Him, His question though.
Rome was controlling the North but the Ottoman Empire took over Turkey and Egypt leaving Rome more to the west now.
Which is how she interprets the passage, now with three sides.

As far as William Millers Rules of Interpretation, I'm not sure what to think.
I never looked closely at this but it's not the first time I've heard of it either.
I admit, if we are not to divert from EGW endorsements I am getting off track.
Ellen White endorsed the 1843 & 1850 Charts, Uriah Smith & now I learn of William Miller and although I agree with many things in all of them, there are points in each I may disagree with.

Said Christ, "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me." The light of truth is going forth like a burning lamp, and those who love the light will not walk in darkness. Literal Interpretation 2 - Russia & China

I could be wrong on this but I think this interpretation mostly comes from the Jehovah's Witnesses.

Still this is an easy one to see with current events.
China is becoming more powerful and Russia and China are uniting while NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) is considering them as a threat.

Going back to "divide the land for gain", Russia is doing just that.
But like France both are on a very small scale compared to that of the UN.
Which brings up another problem with WMROI.
What if there is more than one interpretation that fulfills the prophecy.
Do we just go with the first one, or the one that fits best?

Spiritual Interpretation

This is how I see it now but that could change.

First off I see the end more as Nations coming together against God's people than I do waring against each other.
If this is more a war about the North vs the South then I would think it is a battle of ideas, Theocracy vs Heathenism or Babylon vs Egypt.
Babylon would win that war and would then unite with the heathens.

And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. (Mat 24:5)

France or Russia might fulfill this verse.
But again I come back to this being one of the final battles.
This is time when people join together.
Can France or Russia get the people to unite against God?
I don't think so.

Yes with Rome I did a jump in time from verses 35 to 36.
But if you say this is France, don't you do the same?
I have not finished the France study yet.
But we are running out of verses before Michael stands up.
Somewhere you will have to leave France and jump up in time.

I don't think ether the Russian nation or by their ideology fits Biblically to unite the people against God.

But maybe I'm wrong and this verse is just another war for us to look for before Jesus comes again.
