Troubled Times for the Ottoman Empire

But tidings out of the east

Persia

and out of the north

Russia 1853-1856

shall trouble him

Ottoman Empire/Turkey

: therefore he

Turkey

shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.

Stop point: 118:25

It's good to see where we are at in the timeline here.
The Crimean War was from 1853-1856.
If this verse said west and north it would make more sense to me.
The Ottoman's were force to choose sides, but eventually went with the west.
So in context yes after choosing sides the north or Russia was the most trouble.

So what does the east have to do with this.
I don't see many wars between the Ottoman's and Persia at this time.
You could call Russia North and East since it is so large.
I did find this Persian war from 1821-1823 which is still around that time.

So yes again there was trouble coming from both the North and East.
Which you could say fulfills the first part of this verse.

Now for the last part of the verse.
He shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.
I have a hard time with this, at least at this time.
This is already after the prediction of their fall right?
The Rev 9:15 prediction by Josiah Litch about the fall of the Ottoman Empire.
This happened in 1840 according to the prophecy.
Maybe this part of the verse has more to do with the next verse?
In these years the Ottoman's were losing ground.

I guess you can say they went forth with great fury.
I guess they had to because other nations were coming against them.
Yes again you can say the Ottoman's fulfilled this verse.

Looking back at the last couple verses of Daniel 11:43-44.
In context yes you can say the Ottoman's fulfilled these verses.
But only in a very small way.
1. Their power was getting smaller.
2. They were the ones being taken away.
3. Their treasures were being taken by other countries.
4. All this is happening at the prediction of their fall.
5. Daniel 11 needed to be wrapped up for Christ's return at that time.

Does this sound like the last power we should be focused on just before Christ's return?

Does Daniel and Revelation for the most part point our fingers here?

Could this be just a big distraction so we don't look at current events?

Troubled Times for France

But tidings out of the east and out of the north

Russia

shall trouble him

France under Napoleon who leaves Egypt in 1799

: therefore he

France in 1812

shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many

in Russia

.

Lets go back to what William Miller said about this.

But tidings out of the east and out of the north, shall trouble him." This was what was at that time called the Holy Alliance. This was composed of most of the kings on the north and east of France, which finally proved the overthrow of the power of Bonaparte, and the restoration 'of the Bourbons on the throne of Franco. (Miller's Lectures - The Midnight Cry - Vol 1 - Number 21)

The news of this alliance caused him much trouble, and also his immediate return to France. " Therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy and utterly to make away many." This is a plain description of Bonaparte's campaign into Russia. He went forth with an army of 400,000 men, with fury, in order to break up the Holy Alliance. He did utterly destroy Moscow, and laid desolate the country through which he passed. He made way with more than 200,000 of his own army, besides the destruction of his enemies, say many thousands more. Such a destruction of life and property in one campaign wag never known since the (Pays of the Persians and the Greeks. (Miller's Lectures - The Midnight Cry - Vol 1 - Number 21)

So as we can see here again, France fulfills these verses.
Which begs the question.

According to William Millers rules of interpretation and according to the video we have been looking at, the rule states if we have fulfillment of the verse we need look no further.

Yes, I think the main difference between William Millers view vs Uriah Smith's view is who the He, Him, His are in these verses.

But with that aside I would say France fulfilled these verses first.
At least according to the timelines we have been looking at.
France has these verses wrapped up by 1812.
Whereas the Ottoman's timeline we are up to 1853-1856.
Maybe something changes in the next verse.
I'm eager to see how this ends.

Troubled Times for Russia

But tidings

coming soon

out of the east

Jesus's soon return

and out of the north

God's throne

shall trouble him

Russia

: therefore he

Russia

shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.

You may want to watch the full video here.
I'm sure they can explain how Russia is King of the North better than I can.
But I jumped ahead to where we are at in verse 44.

So Adventist are not the only ones who jump from literal to spiritual here.
Jehovah Witnesses do the same thing.
This is nice to know.

I think you have to take this verse more as spiritual myself because this is the last great war before Michael Stands Up.

Since that video said it so well I don't think I need to say anything more here.

Troubled Times for the Papacy - Literal

But tidings

current day

out of the east

China

and out of the north

Russia

shall trouble him

Papacy

: therefore he

Papacy

shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.

So the way I see this, China is from the east but if China is also the king of the south they would have to take control of the Suez Canal which we have seen this video already where they want that for trade reasons.

Of course if you control the Suez Canal you control trade.
And if you control trade you control the money.
So of course this would be a problem for the Papacy and the NWO.

Meetings are being held one after the other that promote the NWO.

If Russia and China want the canal this would be a problem for the NWO.
This would literally fulfill tidings out of the east and north troubling him.

Yes these verses could literally mean WWIII and like I heard one person say...
Do you think the devil would invent nuclear weapons without getting to use them?

Not that I agree with this interpretation but I would expect these last few verses of Daniel 11 to be on a much larger scale like this one than the ones we saw with either Turkey or France.

Troubled Times for the Papacy - Spiritual

But tidings out of the east

Jesus's soon return

and out of the north

God's throne

shall trouble him

Papacy

: therefore he

Papacy

shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.

We are down to the end, just before Michael stand up.
What have these final verses been about?
What is the theme of Daniel?
What is the theme taken from Daniel and into Revelation?
Isn't this the theme one of the pillars of Adventist?
One that many want to ignore, but it's there.

You can replace the symbol of the Three Angels Message.
That will not replace their message.
What message?
-----For The Hour Of His Judgment Is Come---
Isn't this what Daniel and Revelation are about?
Isn't this the whole structure of these books?

Are we going to replace God's judgment on all these Nations and people like in Noah's day with a battle in Europe or the middle east?

I have a hard time with that.
Let's go back and take a look at the context of Daniel and Revelation.

Both Daniel and Revelation have a big focus on Judgment.
There is an order to God's judgments.
I may do a study on this later.

I believe the Woman is the church side and the Beast is the state side.
Right now the Woman only has control of a very small city.
I'm thinking the UN will get control over the nations.
The Papacy will be at the head of the UN.
Then at that time will the Papacy be riding Beast.
The Jews were literally in captivity starting with Babylon.
After Jesus came the Jews became spiritual but now under the control of Rome.
Judgment starts with Israel and the saints and that is fine with me.
That means my name came up among the saints.

And judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. (Dan 7:22)

After the wound is healed we then see the wicked, the harlot woman, the beast, the nations, and Satan all judged.

(Man) And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image. (Rev 16:2)

(Harlot Women) Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: (Rev 17:1)

(Beast) And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. (Rev 19:20)

(Nations) As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time. (Daniel 7:12)

(Nations & People) And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh. (Rev 19:21)

(Satan) And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (Rev 20:11)

(All) And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. (Rev 20:12-14)

All of this is why the Beast is troubled and shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.
He knows he is about to lose.

And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. (Rev 12:17)
