Because we see France in Revelation 11 that proves this is France?

Stop point: 56:48

This prophecy has received a most exact and striking fulfillment in the history of France. During the Revolution, in 1793, "the world for the first time heard an assembly of men, born and educated in civilization, and assuming the right to govern one of the finest of the European nations, uplift their united voice to deny the most solemn truth which man's soul receives, and renounce unanimously the belief and worship of a Deity."-Sir Walter Scott, Life of Napoleon, vol. 1, ch. 17. "France is the only nation in the world concerning which the authentic record survives, that as a nation she lifted her hand in open rebellion against the Author of the universe. Plenty of blasphemers, plenty of infidels, there have been, and still continue to be, in England, Germany, Spain, and elsewhere; but France stands apart in the world's history as the single state which, by the decree of her Legislative Assembly, pronounced that there was no God, and of which the entire population of the capital, and a vast majority elsewhere, women as well as men, danced and sang with joy in accepting the announcement."-Blackwood's Magazine, November, 1870. {GC 269.4}

My argument would be, it's not in Revelation 11 either.

The argument given here is that there is a whole chapter in the Great Controversy about France and Revelation 11.
This is true, although I have my doubts on whose ideas these are.
We can tell even by the quote given here that these ideas originated from someone else.
We see mentioned:
Sir Walter Scott, Life of Napoleon, vol. 1, ch. 17.
Blackwood?s Magazine, November, 1870.
I would guess the chapter on France came mostly from Uriah Smith not Ellen White.
Yes most all pioneers believed the same as we can tell by the 1843, 1850, and the 1863 Charts,
Why do I doubt that chapter?

That comes mostly from the 1919 Bible Conference.

It was during that time many of the Pioneers discussed E. G. Whites inspiration.
Here is a few quotes from that meeting, this was on the topic of the Great Controversy:

B. L. House:
My real difficulty is just here:
Sister White did not write either the old edition or the revised, as I understand it.
A. G. Daniells:
What do you mean by saying that she did not write either edition?
B. L. House:
As I understand it, Elder J. N. Anderson prepared those historical quotations for the old edition, and Brother Robinson and Brother Crisler, Professor Prescott and others furnished the quotations for the new edition.
Did she write the historical quotations in there?
A. G. Daniells: No
...
A. G. Daniells: Sister White never has written anything on the philosophy of history.

For this reason I never put much stock into the historic view.
And from the theme of Daniel and Revelation do we really see either France or Turkey?
The argument would be that God was leading them, specially with the charts that Ellen White endorsed.
I can't argue that God was leading them, but like the reformers before them were any given all truths?
God seems to work a point at a time, could more truths be revealed?
Most of Ellen Whites visions were about the future.
What do we do with the statements that contradict those of the historical view?

Let all who would understand the meaning of these things read the eleventh chapter of Revelation. Read every verse, and learn the things that are yet to take place in the cities. {LDE 95.4}

They were responsible only for the light which shone in their time; we are accountable for that which shines in our day. If we turn from the testimony of God's word, and accept false doctrines because our fathers taught them, we fall under the condemnation pronounced upon Babylon; we are drinking of the wine of her abomination. {GC 536.3}

Also if France was so important related to Revelation 11 why limit it mostly to a chapter or two in the Great Controversy.
Would you not see other quotes about this from her other writings?
