Identifying He, Him, His

And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.

Stop point: 106:47

And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.

Up until verse 40 (at least in the SDA world) there are mostly two main beliefs.
Either you beleive it's France or the Papacy.
Once you get to verse 40 the He, Him, His are now in much more debate.

The first debate is, are there two powers here or three.

Two Powers:
1. North
2. South
The He/Him/His can be related to either the North or South.

Three Powers:
1. North
2. South
3. He/Him/His

Looking at the Hebrew text I think only two powers.
Going by the KJV Bible I think three.
Why three?
Because we have not seen the North since Daniel 11:15.
The North in Daniel 11:15 was Antiochus who was part of the kingdom of Greece.
From Daniel 11:16 on Rome has been called He, Him or His.
Rome was never called North so why start in Daniel 11:40?

So how do we determine who the Him/He/His is now?
And a good question brought up later in the video.
Do we need to talk north and south when the same power controls both sides?

Maybe because Rome controlled both sides it never needed to be called King of the North.
But after losing Egypt, now it needs to be called that again?

Or do we use the He/Him/His to whatever power we are talking about at the time?
The problem with that is that most of the time were talking about more than one power.
So how would you know who to apply it to?

These are answers I don't know but something to think about as we go through these verses.
Maybe someone who knows Hebrew can answers these question better than I.
Or even the English language since I'm not good with grammar to begin with.

And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. (Mat 24:6-7)

At that time, while the work of salvation is closing, trouble will be coming on the earth, and the nations will be angry, yet held in check so as not to prevent the work of the third angel. {EW 85.3}
