Lets take a step back and look at the time we are at.

Daniel 7 says this about the Kingdoms.

These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.(Dan­ 7:17)

Daniel 8 says this.

Medo-Persia - "but he did according to his will, and became great."
Greece - "Therefore the he goat waxed very great"
Rome - "And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great"

When I look "shall divide the land for gain", I don't see this as a local event.
I see this on a much larger scale, at least the size of Rome.
This last power does not only control Europe at the end, it controls the whole world.

And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. (Rev ­13:3)

In Revelation 17 I believe the seventh head that receives power one hour with the Beast is the U.N.
In 2022 we the U.N. hold COP27 & COP15 and what was their goal?

Plus we can see the Papacy dividing the land for their gain.
