You can debate when the wound is healed.
I would say it is not healed until laws are put in place.
And not completely healed until these laws become universal.

More of me thinking out loud. -
Popular belief: Daniel 11:40 "And at the time of the end 1798 shall the king of the south France push at him the Papacy : and the king of the north the Papacy shall come against him king of the south like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he Papacy shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over."
Or if you take Atheism into the future: Daniel 11:40 "And at the time of the end after 1798 shall the king of the south Atheism / China push at him Papacy : and the king of the north Papacy shall come against him Atheism / China like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he Papacy shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over." One that seems like it could take place: Daniel 11:40 "And at the time of the end 1798 shall the king of the south China push at him the Papacy : and the king of the north Russia shall come against him the Papacy like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he Papacy shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over."
Islam: Daniel 11:40 "And at the time of the end after 1798 shall the king of the south Islam push at him Papacy : and the king of the north Papacy shall come against him Islam like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he Papacy shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over." Anyone heard of Ed White, here is his view: Daniel 11:40 "And at the time of the end close to the end of time shall the king of the south Power 1 push at him Papacy : and the king of the north Gog and Magog shall come against him Papacy like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he Papacy shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over." Ezekiel - Gog & Magog - Part 1 Ezekiel - Gog & Magog - Part 2 Ezekiel - Gog & Magog - Part 3 Ezekiel - Gog & Magog - Part 4 I found this translation interesting. Daniel 11:40 "And in time end he will mix horns with the king of the south; and shall be gathered together him the king of the north with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships. And he shall enter into the land, and he shall break and go by. |
Most all say there are only two powers here. One of my thoughts on this: Daniel 11:40 "And at the time of the end close to the end of time shall the king of the south Ezek 38:5 push WITH Gog and Magog (Nations) Ezek 38:2, Ezek 38:15, Rev 20:8 and shall come from (above) like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he or they (Papacy, North & South) shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over Sunday Law victory ." Why am I thinking of it this way? As we approach the last crisis it is of vital moment that harmony and unity exist among the Lord's instrumentalities. The world is filled with storm and war and variance. Yet under one head - the papal power - the people will unite to oppose God in the person of His witnesses. This union is cemented by the great apostate. - (Testimonies for the Church 7:182) The beginning of the next verse in Daniel shows who they are coming against. He shall enter also into the glorious land (Daniel 11:41) Ezek 39:7-8 goes on to say: So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel. Behold, it is come, and IT IS DONE, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day whereof I have spoken.
Soon after Sunday Law is set up, is when Michael Stands up and God says It Is Done. We are now at the very closing scenes of the Great Controversy. More confirmation the interpretation above? Daniel 11:40 "And at the time of the endFinal battle - End of time - "Finite" shall the king of the south heathen rulers push at him Papacy: and the king of the north Gog and Magog leads together with the south and shall come against him Papacy like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he Papacy shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over Sunday Law victory ." |
The more I look at this I think my thought is wrong. I did have a couple problems going into this verse. My other main problem is that I want to spiritualize the King of the North and King of the South. My conclusion is this.
First, why not France as most teach this to be.
What about verse 40?
Why Future? So who are the North and South then? |
Daniel 11:40 "And at the time of the end close to the end of time shall the king of the south heathen rulers push at him Papacy : and the king of the north Papacy shall come against him heathen rulers like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he Papacy shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over Sunday Law Victory ." For me, the rest of this has to be taken spiritually, not literally. Rev 13:3 - and all the world wondered after the beast. A few eastern nations are not what the final conflict is about. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Eph 6:12) |
As you can probably tell I'm not big on Atheism. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. (Rev 11:8) Who is spiritual Egypt according to the Bible?
To me heathen is a much better word for the spirit of the south.
Heathen meaning: Not adhering to an Abrahamic religion, is pagan or is someone who is lacking in morals or principles. The conflict here I believe is Babylon vs Egypt. Now lets look at the Whirlwind.
This for one shows us how close to the end of time we are. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. (Rev 13: 15-17) |
