This is not a study I was planning on but after hearing this from multiple sources I decided to take a look.
Although I already have my opinion that Jesus was not in the tomb for three days and three nights.
I will deal with this verse (Mat 12:40) first because so many like to go off on some rabbit trail to explain the verse.
I think it also has something to do with the Feast Days or at least looking at the Hebrew words.
Maybe I'll go take a look at their side after I'm done seeing how my side fits.
Right now I don't think it makes sense at all to say Jesus was three days and three nights in the grave nor do I think scripture supports it.
I think the only reason anyone has come up with that idea is because of Matthew 12:40 and would of never even thought to do a Hebrew word study to make it work.
So how do you explain Matthew 12:40?
