Rev 12:6 "And the woman fled into the wilderness"
The wilderness here is anywhere where away from Rome's false teachings in less populated locations.
Many were hiding in the mountains away from the Beast.
Sorry the Roman Church comes out of the Beast, the Woman (God's church) had to flee into the wilderness during this time.
Christians today still are deceived by many traditions and beliefs that came out of Rome.
That is why God is telling is people to come out of her meaning all these pagan ideas that got mixed into Christianity.
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. (Revelation 18:4)
Rev 12:6 "And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days."
I have appointed thee each day for a year. (Ezekiel 4:6)
Rev 12:14 "And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent."
From the (Lunar Calendar) Time = One Year (360 days), Times = Two Years (720), Half a Time = 1/2 of a Year (180).
Add all that up 360+720+180 and you get 1260.
This period of time is during the rule of Papal Rome from 538 AD till 1798 AD
Rev 12:15 "And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood."
In Rev 17 we see what the water symbolizes.
And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. (Revelation 17:15)
So why would Satan want to bring in all these barbarian tribes to split up Rome?
Why would Rome have to eliminate some of the barbarian tribes as seen in Daniel 7?
I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots. (Daniel 7:8)
Satan through Papal Rome was out to deceive the people of God.
There was one doctrine Satan hatted so much that certain tribes had to be eliminated.
"Babylon is said to be "the mother of harlots." By her daughters must be symbolized churches that cling to her doctrines and traditions, and follow her example of sacrificing the truth and the approval of God, in order to form an unlawful alliance with the world." (Ellen G. White, The Great Controversy - A Warning Rejected - p 382 - 1911 edition)
- God has no Son to Give
- Ruins The Plan Of Salvation
- The Spirit is Another Person (A Third Person) - Which is what Satan wants, to be like the most High.
Why the Trinity?
By His life and His death, Christ has achieved even more than recovery from the ruin wrought through sin. It was Satan's purpose to bring about an eternal separation between God and man; but in Christ we become more closely united to God than if we had never fallen. In taking our nature, the Saviour has bound Himself to humanity by a tie that is never to be broken. Through the eternal ages He is linked with us. "God so loved the world, that He gave His only-begotten Son." John 3:16. He gave Him not only to bear our sins, and to die as our sacrifice; He gave Him to the fallen race. To assure us of His immutable counsel of peace, God gave His only-begotten Son to become one of the human family, forever to retain His human nature. This is the pledge that God will fulfill His word. "Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder." God has adopted human nature in the person of His Son, and has carried the same into the highest heaven. It is the "Son of man" who shares the throne of the universe. It is the "Son of man" whose name shall be called, "Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6. The I AM is the Daysman between God and humanity, laying His hand upon both. He who is "holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners," is not ashamed to call us brethren. Hebrews 7:26; 2:11. In Christ the family of earth and the family of heaven are bound together. Christ glorified is our brother. Heaven is enshrined in humanity, and humanity is enfolded in the bosom of Infinite Love. (Desire Of Ages - Chapter 1 - God With Us - p 25)
Christ's death proves God's great love for man. It is our pledge of salvation. To remove the cross from the Christian would be like blotting the sun from the sky. The cross brings us near to God, reconciling us to Him. With the relenting compassion of a father's love, Jehovah looks upon the suffering that His Son endured in order to save the race from eternal death, and accepts us in the Beloved. Without the cross, man could have no union with the Father. On it depends our every hope. From it shines the light of the Saviour's love, and when at the foot of the cross the sinner looks up to the One who died to save him, he may rejoice with fullness of joy, for his sins are pardoned. Kneeling in faith at the cross, he has reached the highest place to which man can attain. Through the cross we learn that the heavenly Father loves us with a love that is infinite. Can we wonder that Paul exclaimed, "God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ"? Galatians 6:14. It is our privilege also to glory in the cross, our privilege to give ourselves wholly to Him who gave Himself for us. Then, with the light that streams from Calvary shining in our faces, we may go forth to reveal this light to those in darkness. (The Acts of the Apostles - Chapter 20 - Exalting the Cross p 209)
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. (Isiah 14:14)
Satan was once an honored angel in heaven, next to Christ. His countenance, like those of the other angels, was mild and expressive of happiness. His forehead was high and broad, showing great intelligence. His form was perfect; his bearing noble and majestic. But when God said to His Son, "Let us make man in our image," Satan was jealous of Jesus. He wished to be consulted concerning the formation of man, and because he was not, he was filled with envy, jealousy, and hatred. He desired to receive the highest honors in heaven next to God.
