Jesus Anointed
Sanctuary Message

Our Great High Priest has been moving through the Sanctuary.
Things are about to wrap up here soon.
Will there be another Anointing?
Will Jesus move from Priest to King?
Was there an anointing for kings in the Bible?

1 Sam 16:12-13 "And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he. Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward."

David was anointed as King before he ever became one.

Also take notice at this time God's spirit was poured out.

Does this symbolize another coming King receiving an anointment before he becomes King?

Any idea what event that might happen on?

Another event like Pentecost where Jesus became High Priest and the former rain was powered out.

What about the Latter Rain or Loud Cry?

Could this be when Christ is anointed as King?

Let's take a look at the Loud Cry

In the book of Revelation, Jesus first shows the title of Lord of lords, and King of kings in Revelation 17 then again in Revelation 19.

Many title the chapter of Revelation 18 as the Loud Cry.

The last great conflict is before us, but help is to come to all who love God and obey His law, and the earth, the whole earth, is to be lighted with the glory of God. "Another angel" is to come down from heaven. This angel represents the giving of the loud cry, which is to come from those who are preparing to cry mightily, with a strong voice, "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird" (Revelation 18:1, 2). {3SM 412.1}

Rev 14:9-14 "And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

When is the Loud Cry?

The message of the fall of Babylon, as given by the second angel, is repeated, with the additional mention of the corruptions which have been entering the churches since 1844. The work of this angel comes in at the right time to join in the last great work of the third angel's message as it swells to a loud cry. And the people of God are thus prepared to stand in the hour of temptation, which they are soon to meet. I saw a great light resting upon them, and they united to fearlessly proclaim the third angel's message. {EW 277.1}

The full extent of the Loud Cry (the message swells and becomes more powerful) comes around the time of the Mark Of The Beast (just before the Hour Of Temptation).

The time when the 10 horns unite with the Papacy for a short time.

Rev 17:12-14 "And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

So right before the Loud Cry (chapter 18) we see Jesus position first seen as Lord of lords and King of kings (Revelation 17).

What about us?
Are we not called Priests?

1 Peter 2:9 "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Did Aaron have sons that were priests?

Lev 8:13 "And Moses brought Aaron's sons, and put coats upon them, and girded them with girdles, and put bonnets upon them; as the LORD commanded Moses."

Are we not also to be called kings?

Rev 5:10 "And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

When did we become kings?

Could there be an event soon to take place when Jesus is anointed as King?
We know Jesus takes the position as King.
We ourselves take the title as kings being that we are sons of the King of Kings.
We saw the spirit come down on David when he was anointed as King.
David was anointed before he became King.
We saw God's spirit pour out in the former rain during Pentecost.

Like David this anointing would happen before he is crowned King.

And like David, God's spirit is poured out at that time.

Like the anointing in Heaven when Jesus became High Priest, God's spirit poured out on Pentecost during the time of the former rain.

In the same manner when the latter rain is about to fall could there be another anointing, to anoint Jesus as Lord of lords, and King of kings.

Are we coming up to another great ceremony in Heaven?
To anoint Christ as King!

These scenes are to be repeated, and with greater power. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost was the former rain, but the latter rain will be more abundant. The Spirit awaits our demand and reception. Christ is again to be revealed in His fullness by the Holy Spirit's power. {COL 121.1}

As Christ was glorified on the day of Pentecost, so He will again be glorified in the closing work of the gospel, when He shall prepare a people to stand the final test in the closing conflict of the great controversy" (HM, 1893-11-01).

The revelation of Christ by the Holy Spirit brought to them a realizing sense of his power and majesty, and they stretched forth their hands unto him by faith, saying, "I believe." Thus it was in the time of the early rain; but the latter rain will be more abundant. The Saviour of men will be glorified, and the earth will be lightened with the bright shining of the beams of his righteousness. He is the fountain of light, and light from the gates ajar has been shining upon the people of God, that they may lift him up in his glorious character before those who sit in darkness. {HM November 1, 1893, Art. A, par. 30}

You are getting the coming of the Lord too far off. I saw the latter rain was coming as [suddenly as] the midnight cry, and with ten times the power. {SpM 4.3}

1 Sam 2:10 "The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the LORD shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed."
